Any advice for future couples planning their big day?
Don’t sweat the small stuff… or even the big stuff.  There were so many things that did not go as planned on our wedding day, but we dealt with them as they came and focused on really enjoying the day regardless.  Thankfully we have great friends and family who were incredibly helpful!  Also, one of the best pieces of advice someone gave us before our wedding day was to find a few minutes alone after the ceremony but before getting caught up in the reception festivities.  After our ceremony we stayed at Marine Park to sign our marriage license and take a few pictures down on the train tracks while our guests walked over to the Cruise Terminal.  We’d planned to walk over to the reception on our own after the pictures were done- no guests/family, no wedding party, no photographers.  Those moments together were some of the simplest, but most cherished, of the day.

What was your experience like with Amy Parsons Photography?

We loved Amy from the moment we met her.  She made us feel comfortable and was so wonderful about including all of the different picture locations we wanted to shoot at.  She was really well prepared and kept us on schedule, which was great.  Neither of us love being the center of attention so we’d worried how we’d feel with two photographer’s cameras on us, but Amy made us feel at ease, able to be in the moment and focus on each other.

Looking back, what are some of the most memorable moments from your wedding day?
Well obviously the random llama drawn carts were memorable!  Seeing all of our friends and family in one room and having the chance to celebrate with them was special. I remember looking around at one point and thinking how incredible it was that all of those different groups of people were in one room having a great time together.

What were your favorite details?

My Grandmother brought an old family necklace to wear that my cousin wore at her wedding.  It was special to be able to continue the tradition.
What is one of the favorite qualities you love about your spouse?

Lynn’s compassionate heart  / Scott is always genuine and honest.  He makes me feel loved and taken care of in little ways like making me a snack when I get off work late, giving me hugs and kisses, or sending me a text when he knows I’m having a tough day.  He lets me be myself.  He also encourages me to do things out of my comfort zone and reminds me not to worry so much.
