Love notes from recent brides…

In addition to appreciating the quality of images that a photographer takes, I think it is important to enjoy the experience of time spent with your photographer on your wedding day. I wanted to share some kind words expressed by some of my 2011 couples when asked ‘WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE WITH AMY PARSONS PHOTOGRAPHY?’ ….

“We loved Amy from the moment we met her.  She made us feel comfortable and was so wonderful about including all of the different picture locations we wanted to shoot at.  She was really well prepared and kept us on schedule, which was great.  Neither of us love being the center of attention so we had worried how we’d feel with two photographer’s cameras on us… but Amy made us feel at ease, able to be in the moment and focus on each other.”     ~ Lynn & Scott

“It was such a joy getting to have Amy Parsons capture the moments on our wedding day! Leading up to the wedding I was very thankful for her helpful attitude, offering her knowledgeable help with ideas from things such as venues to florists. The days before, her cheerful and excited attitude for us was a great blessing as she made sure she had all the details down that we were hoping for. She even offered to be free to run to the store the morning of the wedding for last minute needs such as bobby pins! While she was “on the job” she acted very professional, giving us space for special moments while still capturing them for us to enjoy later. I appreciated how cheerful she was, her joy was a blessing to have there for such a time when we were so excited ourselves! Our pictures are beautiful as you can see!”

(A few more words from the groom)…  “I felt very comfortable to be just me and enjoy and focus on my bride. Amy made even the most intimate shots comfortable as she was very assuring she wanted the couple to just concentrate on each other. Her assistant photographer was equally easy to be around.”    ~ Shelby & Wes

“I absolutely love Amy! She is a blast to work with and makes the picture taking process so much fun. And to make it even better, she takes AMAZING pictures! We both just loved working with her & strongly recommend her!”     ~ Anna & Erik

“Where to begin???? WONDERFUL!  She made taking photos fun, comfortable and natural. She had great ideas for photos and captured ALL of our special moments. She also jumped in on the fun which was important to us as well. From the first time we met Amy we felt like she was a friend. Once all our photos were in our hot little hands our friends and family all praised her final product. We couldn’t have been more pleased – the photos turned out beautiful! One of my out of town friends was unable to make the wedding and she said after looking at our photos online she felt like she was there with us. That’s exactly what we wanted. So a big THANK YOU goes out to Amy and Tiffani. We love you guys and the amazing work you produce.”     ~ Anna & Alex

“We loved working with Amy Parsons Photography. Both Amy and Tiffany are great photographers and very enjoyable to work with. We took a lot of pictures before our wedding but the time seemed to fly by because we were all having fun.”     ~ Tiffany & Ryan

Justin: One month {Newborn photography}

I can’t believe my little man is already a month old! I finally got around to taking some ‘official’ newborn photos and found out that it’s a lot harder when it’s your own child. I think it’s because I had so many ideas that I wanted to try and of course none of them really went as planned. I do, however, think he is the cutest baby model known to man.

This beautiful blanket was made by Justin’s Nana…

Thanks Stephanie Stremler Photography for these snuggly family photos!

And a few shots from around the house last week…

This is my favorite when he snuggles up on my chest and falls asleep with his hand under his sweet little cheek

One of his Christmas outfits .. can’t go wrong with an adorable plaid shirt and corduroy pants with a belt. What a handsome little man!

Chillin with cousin Adam on Christmas morning…

Derek & Rachel {Engagement}

This sweet couple is getting married in one month and I am sooooo excited for them! The beautiful bride is David’s cousin and I couldn’t be happier for her that she has found the love of her life. For their engagement photos we made use of one of the last nice fall days and had some fun at Hovander park. Thanks for being such great models you two!!!

Justin’s birth story

Introducing our precious baby boy…

Justin Roy Parsons was placed in my arms at 6:14am on Monday 11/28/2011. He weighed 7lb 8oz and was 19.5 inches long. He is the most precious little bundle I have ever met (shocker I know!)

His birth was amazing and I never thought I would think back on it as a good experience but oddly enough I do. To feel the pain of labor and know it was going to produce this incredible and kissable face … so worth it!

I have written up his birth story and included a few photos below for those who are interested (click on ‘view full post’)
